After following the upgrade documentation we are seeing extreme backup speed issues on incremental and full backups. This was a migration from one server to another server with another name. If full copies of Acronis are required, what is the best way to schedule backups so that I don't get multiple servers backing up at once, possibly flooding the network or backup server? Stop all the Backup Exec services (I did this with services manager & confirmed in Windows Services) 4. Total data between all servers is ~1.4TB. Delete the tape drive in Backup Exec (right click again, need to disable first) This must be done in Backup Exec Doing the same in Windows Device Manager and rebooting did not fix the problem. We are a bit sick of tape drive issues and are looking to consolidate to a more reliable cental backup system. We currently have 8 servers running various versions of Symantec Backup Exec, all backing up to local tape drives. Undertaking a major overhaul of our backup system and looking for some comments and advice.
